Otter Notetaker is an excellent feature that can automatically join your Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams meetings via your synced calendar events and provide real-time transcription. There may be situations where you would like to turn off this feature.

Toggle off Notetaker's auto-join setting, and Otter will no longer automatically join your synced calendar events. There are multiple ways to access your Notetaker meeting auto-join settings. 

\nHomepage AI Notetaker Settings Easily access your Notetaker auto-join settings through the homepage\n

On the Meetings tab, click on AI Notetaker settings and select Meetings I manually select.

\nAccount Settings AI Notetaker Settings Manage your Notetaker settings in your account settings\n

Click Integrations → Meetings tab → Default auto-join settings and select Meetings I manually select.

Review your calendar events

\nNote: Previous events that were manually toggled on/off will retain the setting. Toggling auto-join on/off will only affect meetings where you did not manually change the setting. Review your calendar events after managing this setting if you previously changed individual events.

Review your calendar events and verify that Notetaker is toggled off for your upcoming meetings.

\nTip: You can still manually toggle Notetaker auto-join on for specific calendar event meetings, or manually add Notetaker on an ad-hoc basis to your meeting.
