You have the option to set up OtterPilot to automatically join all calendar meeting events. If you want full control over which ones OtterPilot joins instead, follow the steps in this guide.
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Click the gear settings icon on the upper corner of the homepage calendar to navigate to Account Settings > Meetings.
- Under the OtterPilot section, toggle off Auto-join all meetings.
- Carefully review the pop-up will alert you to how many upcoming meetings OtterPilot is scheduled to join automatically. Select Yes, turn them off to proceed with toggling off auto-join.
- OtterPilot will no longer automatically join your synced calendar events.
Note: Previous events that were manually toggled on/off will retain the setting. Toggling auto-join on/off will only affect meetings where you did not manually change the setting. Review your calendar event after managing this setting if you previously made changes to individual events.
Manually select which meetings OtterPilot joins
- Navigate to the homepage calendar.
- For calendar meeting events you want OtterPilot to join, toggle OtterPilot auto-join ON for that event.
Note: If you want OtterPilot to automatically join a meeting, ensure sure you make changes to the auto-join setting at least 30 minutes before an event, or OtterPilot may not join on time or successfully. - Review your events and make sure OtterPilot is not set to auto-join any events you do not want it to.
Tip: You can manually add OtterPilot anytime to any ad-hoc meeting or scheduled meeting using the meeting URL.
