Your conversations will remain in your account, regardless if you downgrade, upgrade, or cancel your plan. You have full control over your conversations, and they will only be deleted if you choose to delete them, delete your account, or an admin deletes your account if you are part of a Workspace.
Plan limits
While conversations will remain in your account, access to conversations may be limited depending on your plan.
Currently, users on the Basic free plan will be limited to the most recent 25 conversations. All other conversations will be archived but remain in your account.

If my conversations are archived, how do I access conversations past the 25 limit?
- Upgrade to a paid plan to unarchive and access all conversations.
- Or export and delete conversations to access the next most recent conversations up to 25.
I upgraded to a paid plan, but my conversations are still archived.
- If you have upgraded to a paid plan, but still cannot access your conversations, please contact our Otter Support Team for assistance.
I have a paid plan, but I cannot view an archived conversation shared with me.
- The archive limits apply to the conversation if the owner's account is on the Basic free plan.
- You will not be able to view that conversation if it has been archived and shared with you, even if you have a paid plan.
- Click Ask for access to send an email to the conversation owner asking them to upgrade to allow access.
- The owner of the conversation will receive an email and can upgrade to allow access.
Will my conversations be deleted after a certain period of being archived?
