One of the ways to sign in to Otter is through Continue with Microsoft. If you or a member of your Workspace is experiencing the error message 'Need admin approval' when signing in through this method, it means consent for the Otter application has not been granted. Please reach out to your Microsoft Entra administrator to resolve this and follow the suggested resolution below.
Grant users permission to consent
The admin of your Microsoft Entra account can enable permissions for users to consent to applications when signing in with their Microsoft account.
- As an admin, sign in to Microsoft Entra.
- Under Applications, click on Enterprise applications.
- Select Consent and permissions under Security.
- Check Allow user consent for apps and click Save.
Users can now sign in to Otter using Continue with Microsoft.
Admin approval
If admin approval is required for your organization, ensure Users can request admin consent to apps they are unable to consent to is toggled to Yes. This will allow users to request admin consent for Otter.
Additional assistance
If the solutions above do not work or can't be implemented for your organization, please reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. Otter has no effect on Microsoft permissions and will not be able to provide custom consent flows.
