Connect Otter to Zapier – Help Center

Connecting Otter.ai to Zapier unlocks a new level of automation and efficiency. With seamless integration, you can easily connect Otter to your other favorite tools, automating repetitive tasks and streamlining workflows.

Plan: This feature is available for all Pro, Business, and Enterprise accounts.

Use Zapier to import audio files to Otter, or use Zapier to export Otter’s transcripts, summaries, action items, and more to other apps. Check out all the premade recipes to quickly get started on Zapier for free.

Note: Importing audio files will consume your monthly minute limit.

Zapier setup

Follow the steps below to connect your Otter account to Zapier.

Go to Zapier directly, or in Otter, go to Account Settings → Integrations, then click Connect next to Zapier.
Create a new Zap. Under Account, click Sign in. If you have already created an API key, skip to step 6.

Note: Make sure Otter.ai is selected as the App before signing in.
Go to the Account Settings → Developer.

Note: The Developer tab may not be available on all plans. If you don’t see it, access it directly at otter.ai/setting/developer.
Click Create key.
An API key will be generated. Click Copy and save your API key in a secure location.

Note: Your API key is only displayed once and can’t be viewed again. If you lose it, you’ll need to delete the existing API key and generate a new one.
Paste your API key and click Connect.
Your Otter account is now connected to Zapier. Continue building your Zap by selecting an event and configuring your workflow.

Delete and regenerate your API key Regenerate your API key if you're running into any issues

If you are experiencing issues or can't remember the code, you can delete and regenerate the API key.

Go to Account Settings → Developer. Click the three-dot menu next to the API key you want to delete, then select Delete.
Carefully review the pop-up details and click Delete Key to confirm.
Click Create key to generate a new API key.

If your connection expires or you revoke your API key, reconnect your Otter account by signing in again with a valid API key. Regenerate your API key if you no longer have access to your existing one.

Why isn’t my Zap working?

If your Zap isn’t running as expected:

Confirm your API key is still valid.

Check the Zap history in Zapier for any reported errors.
