You have full control over sharing permissions for your conversations. Whether a conversation was shared manually, through auto-share, or a conversation link, you can change, update, or stop the sharing permissions of a conversation anytime. You can update the following settings:
- Stop sharing a conversation with users or Channels
- Change sharing permission for a user or Channel
- Update Collaborator and Viewer permissions
- Revoke or update conversation public link settings
Manage your conversation permissions
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Navigate to the conversation you want to update permissions for.
- Click Share in the upper corner.
- Manage the permissions for this conversation.
- Expand the options below for more detailed instructions on specific share settings.

Stop sharing a conversation with users or Channels
- Click on the drop-down menu next to the user or Channel.
- Select Remove.
- The user or Channel will no longer have access to the conversation.
Note: You can re-share the conversation anytime with users or Channels.
Change sharing permission for a user or Channel
Tip: Update the Collaborator or Viewer permission for users or Channels anytime. Learn more about sharing permissions.
- Click on the drop-down menu next to the user or Channel.
- Select the permission.
- The permission has been updated and will effect immediately.
Update Collaborator and Viewer permissions
Tip: Update the permission for Collaborator or Viewer anytime. Learn more about sharing permissions.
- Click the gear icon setting icon in the lower right corner.
- Check the options you would like to set for Collaborator or Viewer.
Revoke or update conversation public link settings
Tip: Revoke access to the public link or update the access settings. Learn more about public link-sharing permissions.
- Click the drop-down menu for the public link in the lower left corner.
- Select the option you would like to set for your public link.
- The setting will take effect immediately.
