You can use the Basic free plan of Otter as long as you'd like, but there are a few usage limits to keep in mind.
- Transcription limit - Up to 300 minutes per month
- Transcription duration - Up to 30 minutes per transcription
- File imports - Import up to three audio or video files
- Conversation history - 25 most recent (older ones archived)
Transcription monthly limit
You can transcribe up to 300 minutes per month using Otter. If you exceed the transcription limit, you will not be able to record or import recordings until your next monthly cycle.
Note: Deleted conversations will still count towards the transcription limit.
Transcription duration limit
On the Basic free plan, each conversation and import has a limit of 30-minutes. If you exceed that limit, your recording or import will not stop, but you will only be able to access up to 30-minutes of the transcription. If you upgrade to a paid plan, the full transcription will become available once you click Unlock full transcript at the bottom of the transcript.
File import limit
On the Basic free plan, you can import up to three audio or video files for transcription per account (not per month). If you reach the import limit, upgrade to our Business plan to import as many files as you'd like up to 6,000 minutes per month.
On the Basic free plan, you will see the 25 most recent conversations. Older conversations will be archived (not deleted). To access all previous conversations, upgrade to a paid plan. The paid plans offer unlimited conversation history.
