One of the ways to sign in to Otter is through Continue with Microsoft. If you or a member of your workspace is experiencing the error message 'Application is disabled' when signing in through this method, it means the Otter application has been disabled in your organization's Microsoft Entra configuration. Please reach out to your Microsoft Entra administrator to resolve this and follow the suggested resolution below.
Enable the Otter application
A Microsoft Entra admin can verify whether the Otter enterprise application is enabled for users to sign in. If the application has been disabled, the admin will need to enable it before users can sign in to Otter using their Microsoft account.
- As an admin, sign in to Microsoft Entra.
- Under Applications, click Enterprise applications.
-
Search for and select the Otter application.
Note: There may be multiple Otter applications if you have set up SSO for your organization. Find the application where Homepage URL is https://otter.ai. - Under Manage, click Properties.
-
Locate Enabled for users to sign-in?, toggle to Yes, and click Save.
-
The application has been enabled, and users can try signing in to Otter again using Continue with Microsoft.
Verify the user has access to Otter
If the Otter application is enabled but the user is still unable to sign in, your Microsoft Entra admin should verify whether user assignment is required for the application.
If Assignment required? is set to Yes, only users or groups assigned to the Otter enterprise application can sign in. The Microsoft Entra admin will need to assign the affected user or group to the application.
- In Microsoft Entra, go to Applications → Enterprise applications.
- Select the Otter application.
- Under Manage, click Users and groups.
- Verify that the affected user or one of their groups has been assigned to the application.
- If needed, click Add user/group and assign the appropriate user or group.
Additional assistance
If the Otter application is enabled and the affected user has the appropriate access, but the 'Application is disabled' error continues to appear, please reach out to your Microsoft Entra admin or Microsoft Support for further assistance. Your organization may have additional Microsoft Entra policies or restrictions affecting access.
Otter does not control Microsoft Entra application availability, user assignments, Conditional Access policies, or other Microsoft account permissions and cannot modify these settings on behalf of your organization.
