Disconnect your Google or Microsoft calendar anytime in Otter. This article will provide instructions on how to disconnect your calendar.
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Click on Integrations on the left navigation menu. Scroll to the calendar section.
- Click Disconnect on the right side next to the calendar you want to disconnect.
Your calendar will be immediately disconnected. Previously synced future events will be removed, and no further new events will sync to Otter. Reconnect your calendar anytime.
Disconnect your calendar on the Otter mobile app (iOS & Android)
Disconnect your Google, Microsoft, or Apple calendar (iOS only) anytime on the Otter mobile app.
- Open the Otter mobile app.
- Tap Account and select Account Settings.
- Scroll down to the SETUP section. Tap on Connect calendars.
- Tap the X icon next to the calendar you want to disconnect.
- Tap Remove connection.
Your calendar will be immediately disconnected. Previously synced future events will be removed, and no further new events will sync to Otter. Reconnect your calendar anytime.
Remove Apple Calendar (This Device)
- Follow steps 1-3 above to open the Connect calendars page in Account > Account Settings > Setup.
- Tap Syncing # calendars under This Device.
- Tap Stop syncing this device's Calendar.
FAQs
Notetaker is still joining my meetings after I disconnected my calendar. How do I stop that?
- If you disconnected your calendar, Notetaker will no longer join future events.
- If you are still experiencing Notetaker join your meetings after disconnecting your calendar, verify that no future events are showing on your calendar on the Otter homepage calendar.
- Additionally, review your Notetaker auto-join settings in Account Settings > Meetings. Learn more about managing your Notetaker settings.
Does disconnecting my calendar remove past events?
- Past events will still be available, allowing you to view past recorded conversations associated with the calendar event.
- Future and new events will not be synced to Otter.

You can view your past events on the homepage calendar tab. Click through the various dates to view past events.
For example, the Calendar was disconnected on August 22nd. Calendar event conversations before August 22nd will still show, but future events will no longer be available or synced to Otter, as indicated by the grayed-out dates.
Does disconnecting my calendar immediately stop syncing events?
- Yes.
- Disconnecting your calendar will immediately remove previously synced future events and stop syncing new events to Otter.
- You will need to reconnect your calendar to sync events to Otter.
If I disconnect my calendar, can I still use Otter Notetaker?
- Yes.
