Manage and edit your Sales Insights. You can manage your entire team’s insights across the Workspace, and ensure your conversations are pulling the topics that provide the most value to your workflow and team.
Manage your Sales Insights
Depending on the role & permission of your account, the view differs between Admins and Members. You have a variety of management options available:
- Overview of all sales insights across the Workspace in a central location
- Ability to rename an insight
- Update the call type of an insight
- Enable or disable an insight
- Delete an insight
Overview of all Sales Insights
Within your Workspace, Custom Insights will show both ones that have been automatically generated by Otter, as well as ones added by users of the Workspace.
Ability to rename an insight
Rename an insight to best fit your organization’s terminology and processes.
- Hover over the Name on the left side.
- Click into the field. Begin to rename the field.
- Once finished, click the check mark to confirm.
Update the call type of an insight
The call type will refer to whether the insight is related to an internal conversation or a sales conversation that was shared with a sales Channel.
- Sales: will generate in all sale-type conversations.
- Internal: will generate in non-sale type conversations (e.g. conversations not shared to a sales Channel)
To update the current call type,
- Click the dropdown menu on the right side.
- Select the call type you want to update to.
Enable or disable an insight
You can enable and disable an insight anytime. Changing the type of insight will affect existing conversations and future generations of that insight in newer conversations. Toggle the insight on the right side.
Delete an insight
If an insight is no longer relevant, you have the option to delete it.
- Hover over the right side of the insight you want to delete.
- Click on the 3 dots and select Delete.
- Click OK to confirm.
Roles & permission views
Depending on your role & permission, your insights page overview may differ. Expand the roles below to compare the views.
Admin view
Navigate to Workspace Name > Manage Workspace > Settings. Admins will be able to perform the following actions:
- Overview of all insights across the Workspace
- Ability to rename all insights
- Update the call type of any insight
- Enable or disable any insight
- Delete any insight
Member view
Navigate to Workspace Name > View Workspace > Settings. Members will be able to perform the following actions:
- Overview of all insights across the Workspace
- Ability to rename insights they created
- Update the call type of an insight they created
- Enable or disable any insight they created
- Delete any insight they created
