You have full control over permission sharing for your conversations and meetings. The auto-share setting affects all calendar event recordings. Turning off auto-share will prevent notes from being shared at the start of the meeting.
Turn off auto-share settings
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Click the gear settings icon on the upper corner of the homepage calendar.
- Click on the drop-down menu next to Default audience for shared notes. Select Don't Share-keep my notes private.
Note: Changing this setting will not affect calendar events that you have manually set auto-share for. Review your meetings on the home page calendar to adjust auto-share settings per event.
- Auto-share is now turned off for conversations and calendar event meetings. This setting affects all calendar events recorded manually or through OtterPilot.
Review your individual calendar meetings
Turning off the global settings for your OtterPilot settings will affect all calendar event meetings that have not been previously manually set. For individual calendar events where you previously adjusted the auto-share setting, you will need to manually go into each one and turn off auto-share.
On the Otter homepage calendar, check your individual calendar events. Click on an event to bring up the settings pop-up and review Share with calendar guests, Share with channels and people, and Share with link settings.
Review permission level settings
Guests can view or collaborate depending on the default permission you set. Click on the drop-down menu next to Default permission level. Select Collaborator or Viewer. Learn more about managing your share settings.
Set the permission level for allowing Collaborators to share a conversation. Toggle the setting on or off next to Allow Collaborators to share. Learn more about allowing collaborators to share.
For meetings where you still have auto-join enabled, you can manage the setting to notify meeting participants that your OtterPilot is joining. Toggle the setting on or off next to Send pre-recording emails. Learn more about pre-recording emails.
