Otter [[NOTETAKER]] can automatically join all calendar events to record and transcribe meetings. If you prefer to manually choose which meetings Otter records, you can disable auto-join and select individual calendar events for recording.
Turn off auto-join
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Go to Integrations > Meetings, then click the Default auto-join settings drop-down menu.
- Select Meetings I manually select.
-
Only meetings you toggle on auto-join for will be recorded. Make sure to review your calendar events.
Note: If you previously changed the auto-join setting for specific calendar events, those selections will remain unchanged. Only calendar events that have not been modified will follow the updated default meeting settings.
Manage your calendar events
- Go to the homepage calendar.
-
Click the Meetings or Calendar tab to review your auto-join settings for each event. Turn auto-join on or off as needed for individual calendar events.
Note: To ensure Otter Notetaker automatically joins a meeting, update the auto-join setting at least 30 minutes before the event start time. Changes made less than 30 minutes in advance may prevent Notetaker from joining successfully or on time.
Notetaker will record meetings that are set to auto-join.
Note: Calendar events that were previously adjusted manually will retain their existing auto-join setting. Updating the default auto-join setting only applies to meetings that have not been individually modified. If you previously changed settings for specific events, review those calendar entries to confirm their current configuration.
