Here are steps to connect your Google, Microsoft Outlook, or iOS Calendar account to Otter. By connecting your calendar, you’ll never miss an online meeting. Enjoy the benefits of automatic recordings of your calendar events through Otter Notetaker, easily share your conversations with contacts, and receive a Meeting Summary email that contains your action items, automated outline, and more.
Connect your calendar account to Otter on a web browser
Accounts that do not have a calendar connected can connect through the right panel on the Home page.
Additionally, you have the option to connect multiple Google and Microsoft Outlook calendars to Otter.
- Sign in to your Otter account at otter.ai.
- Click your profile at the top of the navigation menu.
- Click Account Settings and navigate to the Apps page.
- Navigate to the last section Connect calendars & contacts.
The Google and Microsoft Outlook options will be available.

- Click the blue Add button to begin connecting your Google account.

On the pop-up, follow the steps to sign in to your Google account.

Click Allow on the permissions page to connect your Google account to your Otter account.

Verify your Google account is connected in Account Settings > Apps > Connect calendars & contacts.

Verify your calendar events are syncing on the Home page calendar panel.
- Your Google account is now connected. To connect more Google accounts, repeat steps 1-4.
Microsoft

- Click the blue Add button to begin connecting your Microsoft Outlook account.

On the pop-up, follow the steps to sign in to your Microsoft Outlook account.

Select Yes on the permissions page to connect your Microsoft Outlook account to your Otter account.
- Verify your Microsoft Outlook account is connected in Account Settings > Apps > Connect calendars & contacts.
- Verify your calendar events are syncing on the Home page calendar panel.
Connect your calendar account to Otter on the mobile app
Connect your Google, Microsoft Outlook, or iOS Calendar account in the mobile app.
Otter mobile app steps
- Open the Otter mobile app.
- Tap the menu icon in the upper left to expand the navigation menu.
- Tap on your profile to navigate to settings.
- Tap Connect calendars under the Setup section.
- Tap the plus button (+) next to the account you want to connect.
- Follow the steps to sign in to your selected account.
- Allow permissions to connect your account to your Otter account.
- Your account is now connected.
iOS Calendar
For iOS mobile users, you get the option to connect your iOS calendar to Otter. Otter will sync the calendars on your iOS Calendar app to Otter.
Click This Device and select the calendars you want to sync to Otter.
Android calendar options
Mobile android users will only have Google and Microsoft as options for calendar connection.

Can I connect my calendar from my on-premise server to Otter?
- No.
- We do not support connecting on-premise calendars to Otter.
- This includes calendars from on-premise servers for both Microsoft and any other local server setups.
Can I connect my on-premise Microsoft Exchange calendar to Otter?
- No.
- We do not support connecting on-premise Microsoft Exchange calendars to Otter.
- We only support connecting calendars attached to the Microsoft 365 Outlook online calendar. To check if your Microsoft account will be able to connect to Otter, sign in to Microsoft Calendar. If you are able to log in, you will be able to sync your Microsoft account to Otter. If you log in, and your Microsoft Exchange events are not showing up, you will need to move them over into the Microsoft 365 Outlook Calendar in order to sync to Otter.
