In addition to automatically syncing Otter Sales Insights to Account, Opportunity, Contact, and Lead in Salesforce, you can also manage and send specific Sale Insights to Custom Fields in Salesforce.
Setup
If you have not already done so, connect your Otter account to Salesforce at the Workspace level. Ensure you select Install for All Users during installation.
Map your Sale Insights to your Custom Fields
This feature is currently in beta and is not available for all accounts. Reach out to your account manager to request this feature to be enabled for your Workspace.

Once connected, on Otter's Apps page, you will see the option to manage the Sales Insights and map them to your Custom Fields in Salesforce. Click Manage.

Note: Only custom fields from Salesforce Opportunities can be mapped. We do not sync to custom fields for Contacts, Accounts, or Tasks at this time. -
The custom mapping(s) will apply to all future recordings.

Write behavior:

- Overwrite - Insights will sync and overwrite existing details in that Salesforce field
- Write if empty - Insights will only sync if the Salesforce field is empty
- Append - Insights will be added to existing details in that Salesforce field

- Enable: Toggle ON or OFF the custom mapping

Why don’t I see the Manage button option?

If you only see the disconnect option, your Salesforce connection may not be set up at a team level.

Ensure you are logged in as the admin for both Otter Workspace and Salesforce.

Review our Salesforce integration guide and ensure you have installed Salesforce for all users in your account.
Note: If you’re experiencing any issues, please have your Workspace admin reach out to your Otter account manager.
Can I manage custom mapping as a member of a Workspace?
- No.
- Only admin(s) are able to manage custom mapping for Sales Insights to Salesforce.
Can I map Insights to custom fields in Salesforce Contacts, Accounts, or Tasks?
- No.
- Sales Insights can only be mapped to custom fields in Salesforce Opportunities.
- We hope to include more custom field options in the future.
Is custom mapping available for the HubSpot integration?
- No.
- At this time, custom mapping is only available for Salesforce.
- We hope to support this feature for HubSpot in the future.
