In addition to automatically sending Otter Sales Insights as Salesforce Tasks or HubSpot Meetings, you can also map Sales Insights to sync directly to Salesforce Opportunity fields or HubSpot Deal Fields.
Setup (Salesforce only)
This section is for those who are using Salesforce. For general steps to map insights for both HubSpot and Salesforce, jump to our Map your Sales Insights to your Custom Fields section.
If you have not already done so, connect your Otter account to Salesforce at the Workspace level. Ensure you select Install for All Users during installation.
Map your Sales Insights to your Custom Fields
This feature is currently in beta and is not available for all accounts. Reach out to your account manager to request this feature to be enabled for your Workspace.

(If you haven’t already) Connect your Salesforce and/or HubSpot accounts to Otter from the Apps page.
- (If you haven’t already) Connect your Salesforce and/or HubSpot accounts for the entire workspace.
- Once connected, on Otter's Apps page, you will see the option to manage the Sales Insights and map them to your Custom Fields. Click Manage.

Note: Only text fields are supported at this time. Custom fields from Salesforce Opportunities or HubSpot Deals can be mapped. We do not sync to custom fields for Contacts, Accounts, or Tasks at this time. -
The custom mapping(s) will apply to all future recordings.

Write behavior:

- Overwrite - Insights will sync and overwrite existing details in that field
- Write if empty - Insights will only sync if the Salesforce field is empty
- Append - Insights will be added to the existing details in that field

- Enable: Toggle ON or OFF the custom mapping

FAQs
Which Salesforce Opportunity / HubSpot Deal will my Insights map to?
- Otter maps to the most recent Opportunity / Deal that is tied to a Contact in the meeting.
- If the Contact doesn’t exist in your CRM, then Otter is not able to map the Insights.
Why don’t I see the Manage button option?

If you only see the disconnect option, your Salesforce or HubSpot connection may not be set up at a team level.

Ensure you are logged in as the admin for both Otter Workspace and Salesforce or HubSpot.

Review our Salesforce integration or HubSpot integration guide to ensure you have installed the connection for all users in your account.
Note: If you’re experiencing any issues, please have your Workspace admin reach out to your Otter account manager.
Can I manage custom mapping as a member of a Workspace?
- No.
- Only admin(s) are able to manage custom mapping for Sales Insights to Salesforce or HubSpot.
Can I map Insights to custom fields in Salesforce Contacts, Accounts, or Tasks?
- No.
- Sales Insights can only be mapped to custom fields in Salesforce Opportunities.
- We hope to include more custom field options in the future.
Can I map Insights to custom fields in HubSpot Contacts or Companies?
- No.
- Sales Insights can only be mapped to custom fields in HubSpot Deals.
