Bulk export multiple conversations, conversation audio, or Takeaways with a few clicks.
Plan: The bulk export feature is only available on the Otter Business and Enterprise plans.
Web browser export steps
- Navigate to My Conversations, the Channels, the Direct Message, or the Folder where the transcripts are located, that you want to export.
Note: Bulk exporting audio is not available in Channels or Direct Messages at this time. We hope to bring this feature in future updates. You can still export the audio through the conversation page. - Select all or select the individual conversations you want to export by using the checkboxes.
Note: The 'Select all' checkbox option will not show until you select at least one conversation. - Click the Export icon at the top.
- Select the format(s) and additional settings. Click Export.

The bulk export process will begin. You will receive an email with a link to download the ZIP file containing all of your transcripts once it's ready.
Mobile export steps
Note: Takeaways cannot be exported on the mobile app. To export or bulk export Takeaways, sign into the web browser version of Otter.
- Click on the icons next to the conversations to select them.
- Click the 3 dots and select Bulk export.
- Select the format and continue with additional settings.
- Click Continue.
- The files will be exportable to your device.
Note: Adblockers can prevent exports from working properly. If you are experiencing any issues, please disable your Adblocker to export your files.
Once you have exported, you can save the file to your local storage or export to any of the available apps in the menu. The menu options will be based on your device. Please refer to your iOS or Android device.
FAQs
Can I bulk export audio in Channels or Direct Messages?
- No.
- Bulk exporting audio is not available in Channels or Direct Messages at this time. The export pop-up will not have the audio option in Channels or Direct Messages.
- We hope to add exporting audio to Channels and Direct Messages in future updates.
- You can still export the audio through the conversation page or bulk export through the All Conversations page, which includes recordings that you own and ones that have been shared with you.
I clicked 'Select all', but it did not bulk export all conversations in my account. How do I bulk export all conversations in my account?
- 'Select all' will only select the conversations loaded on the current page.
- To bulk export all conversations in your account, scroll down and load all conversations on the page. Once loaded, click 'Select all'.
