Access the channel by clicking on Otter on the left navigation menu, to start utilizing the many features of Otter AI Chat.

Generate answers based on conversations across your account including ones that have been shared with you.
Narrow down prompts based on dates and times.
Continue a thread with Otter Chat to refine answers and information based on existing context.
Use suggested prompts to help you obtain more details about your meetings.
Easily view the one-click source to find exactly which conversation Otter Chat generated the answer from.
Copy formatted prompts to paste into other files and applications.
Regenerate a new answer to your question.
Delete any Otter Chat question and answer.
View the history of all of your Otter Chat prompts, questions, and answers.

Using Otter Chat

Note: While using Otter AI Chat, you do not need to prompt your conversation with Otter (@otter, hey otter, otter, etc.). You can type your question or prompt right away, as you are the only one interacting with Otter Chat in this experience.

Begin typing in the Otter Chat field to generate an answer or prompt. Click Return or the blue send arrow on the right to submit your answer or prompt. You can ask Otter Chat a variety of things across all of your conversations. Examples:

Summarize the main topics of the last few meetings.
Which meeting did Kerry speak in?
Are there any action items I need to complete for next week based on meetings this week?
What info should I provide Otter Chat to generate a more detailed answer about the next steps to take based on my meetings?

Suggestions

Can’t think of a prompt? Click Space or the suggestions icon on the right side to bring up suggested prompts or questions you can ask Otter Chat. Click on any suggested prompt to submit to Otter Chat.

Click more suggestions to expand and view more suggestions if needed.

History

Looking for past questions you’ve previously asked? You can find all the past questions you’ve asked in the History tab. Click on any question to ask it again.

Follow-up threads

Once an answer has been generated by Otter Chat, you can continue to ask more questions, ask Otter to refine the answer, and get more details for your prompt. You have multiple ways to jump into the follow-up thread view.

Click Ask a follow up… on any Otter Chat answer.
Click on any of the suggestions.

The thread panel will open up and you can continue your conversation with Otter Chat.

Reply to Otter Chat to generate new answers, while utilizing existing context and information based on your existing prompts/answers.

View sources

You can view the source of any answer to go directly to the conversation. Click on the View sources icon or any of the hyperlinked conversation titles.

Opening the View sources panel will list out all conversations associated with the Otter Chat answer. You can view information about each conversation.

Note: Conversations in the view sources may not show as a hyperlinked option in the answer. Otter Chat will pull from many conversations, but may not show all of them in the answer itself. The view sources panel will list all conversations associated with the answer.

Copy

You can copy a formatted text of your questions, prompts, and answers. Click the Copy text icon to copy the text. You can paste it into other files, documents, and applications.

Otter Chat prompt examples

Try out some of the prompts below or create your own prompt to ask Otter Chat. We recommend being detailed and specific when writing your prompt. If the response does not quite answer your question, you can ask Otter Chat to rephrase or provide more details. Otter Chat will use previous questions you asked in that conversation to build upon a new response.

Important: Responses from Otter Chat are based on existing AI language data models, and may not always reflect the most up-to-date information or be factually correct. Users should exercise their own judgment and critical thinking when relying on responses from Otter Chat.

Extract data

Summarize the last 5 meetings into key topics, add a timestamp for each topic, and summarize each topic into 3-5 bullet points.
What were the key concerns raised, by who, and what was the resolution for each if discussed in last week’s meeting?
List the speakers for the Design <> Product meeting last Wednesday with a short paragraph of each of their decisions and action items in separate bullet points.
Please summarize the key points and decisions made in November’s meetings. Include information about any action items or next steps that were discussed for the end of the year.

Generate content

Draft an email summary of the last 2 meetings regarding the mobile feature listing specific action items and who they are assigned to.
Based on the last 3 interview meetings, list and summarize each interviewee’s strengths and weaknesses.
