Otter Chat: Select specific Channels, Conversations, or Folders for queries

You can select specific Conversations, Channels, or Folders when using Otter AI Chat to query exactly what you need.

Using the select function # is available in the Otter AI Chat on the left side menu, as well as on the Otter home page.

Note: The select function # is not available within an individual conversation, Channel, or Folder. 
  1. Type # into the Otter AI Chat field before or after your query to bring up the pop-up to select the conversation, Channel, or Folder you want to query on. 
  2. You can type the full name if you know the exact name, or start typing to filter down the list. Select one, multiple, or a combination of conversation(s), Channel(s), and Folder(s).   select multiple.jpg
  3. Once you have selected the conversation(s), Channel(s), or Folder(s), proceed as normal with querying using Otter AI Chat.

  • Yes. 
  • You can select one, multiple, or a combination of conversation(s), Channel(s), and Folder(s).

Does the select function # work in when in the conversation Otter Chat, Channel Chat, or Folder Chat? 

When I'm in a conversation, can I ask Otter Chat to pull from other conversations, Channels, or Folders? 

When I'm in a Channel, can I ask Otter Chat to pull from other conversations, Channels, or Folders? 

  • No. 
  • When you are using Otter Chat within a Channel, all queries will be related to the Channel you are in. 
  • To pull from other conversations, use Otter AI Chat on the left side menu, as well as on the Otter home page. 

When I'm in a Folder, can I ask Otter Chat to pull from other conversations, Channels, or Folders? 

  • No. 
  • When you are using Otter Chat within a Folder, all queries will be related to the Folder you are in. 
  • To pull from other conversations, use Otter AI Chat on the left side menu, as well as on the Otter home page.
