Image Enriched Conversation Chat

Extract details and info from your conversation images, slides, and screenshots. Summarize, pull key insights, and get quick overviews of the images from your meetings using Otter AI Chat.

Plan: This feature is available for the Business and Enterprise plans. If you do not yet see this feature, please check back as it’s slowly being rolled out to all Business and Enterprise accounts.

Image enriched conversation chat overview

Otter AI Chat extracts key details from images added to the conversation during the live meeting or added post-meeting. Immediately query the automatic live screen captures or the images you add to the conversation. Image enriched conversation chat supports the following image formats:

  • PNG
  • JPG
  • GIF
Note: Images must be 5 MB or less. Other formats than the ones listed above are not supported. Image resolution size must be less than 8000x8000 pixels.

Using chat to query on images

Note: Image enriched conversation chat requires using Advanced Mode in Otter AI Chat. Image enriched conversation chat is only available within a conversation chat, and is not yet available for Otter AI Chat on the left navigation menu.
  1. Click into a conversation.
  2. On the right side panel, click on the Otter AI Chat tab.
  3. Click on the Chat option and select Advanced.

  4. Begin typing your query regarding the images in your conversations.

    Tip: Use keywords related to images to make sure AI Chat extracts from your images. e.g., images, slides, photos, diagrams, screenshots, etc.

Best practices and examples

Make sure to explicitly mention keywords related to images in your query in order for it to work:

  • Based on the slides, what are the main focus areas for market growth?
  • According to the diagram shared on the screen, how does the update affect mobile users?
  • Describe the images uploaded to the meeting.
  • Summarize the topics in the screenshots regarding the sales plan.
  • What speakers are mentioned in the photos?

FAQs

Can I use this feature to query across all my conversations at once?

  • No.
  • Image enriched conversation chat is not yet available for the Otter AI Chat located on the left navigation menu.
  • You will need to click into a conversation and use the AI Chat tab to query on screenshots within that meeting.

Is image enriched conversation chat available for the Otter mobile app?

  • No.
  • This feature is only available on the web browser at this time, as Advanced mode is not yet available for the iOS or Android mobile Otter app.
  • Make sure to use Advanced mode while on a web browser to extract info from your images.

Is there a file size limit?

  • Yes.
  • Image file sizes must be 5 MB or less.
  • We do not support image file sizes larger than 5 MB at this time.

Is there an image resolution size limit?

  • Yes.
  • Image resolution size must be less than 8000x8000 pixels.

Can I query images on older conversations?

  • No.
  • At this time, querying on images is only available for conversations recorded after the feature was enabled for your account. Any conversations containing images before the feature was enabled for your account are not eligible.

To query an older conversation, we recommend the following:

  1. Save the images from the conversation.
  2. Download the audio.
  3. Import the file back into Otter.
  4. Upload the saved images back to the conversation.
