Express Mode
- Optimized for speed and concise responses.
- Focuses on real-time summarization and quick insights from the active meeting.
- Ideal for situations where users need fast answers without deep reasoning or cross-meeting context.
Advanced Mode
- Search – Find information across transcripts, screenshots, and past meetings.
- Email & Calendar – Draft emails and schedule meetings.
- Action Items – Create and assign follow-up tasks to meeting participants.
- Recording Controls – Pause, resume, or stop the Otter AI Notetaker with a simple chat command.
- Help – Retrieve relevant support articles from the Otter Help Center.
Change Otter Chat mode
Otter Chat mode settings are available in the conversation AI Chat tab and Otter AI Chat in the left navigation menu.
When querying, Otter Chat will use the mode you selected to generate the answer. Click on the chain-of-thought drop-down to view the thought process in real-time or to see the steps Otter Chat took to generate your answer.
