Upgrade your Otter subscription to a paid plan – Help Center

Upgrade your Otter account from the free Basic plan to a Pro, Business, or Enterprise plan to access more features, higher usage limits, and additional workspace capabilities. This article explains how to upgrade your Otter subscription, choose a paid plan, and get started with the features included with your new plan.

Otter's paid subscriptions offer expanded features and limits for individuals, teams, and organizations, including centralized billing and user management, reporting and analytics, prioritized support, and additional workspace features.

Upgrade to a paid subscription

Select the device below that you want to upgrade your Otter plan on. We offer purchasing a paid plan directly through us (recommended), or through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Note: Only admins of the workspace can purchase or upgrade a plan for the workspace.

Desktop & Web

Go to Account Settings → Plan to view your current Otter plan and available subscription options.
Choose your upgrade option. Depending on your current plan, you can upgrade to the Pro or Business plan, or reactivate a previous paid subscription.
Follow the on-screen instructions to select your plan and complete the upgrade.

Mobile

However, we recommend purchasing your subscription directly through Otter so our Otter Support team can better assist with billing or subscription issues.

If you purchase your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, your billing, payments, and subscription management are handled by that platform.

Mobile web browser

To purchase a subscription through us directly, sign in to Otter.ai on a mobile web browser and go to Account Settings → Plan to purchase a subscription. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your billing cycle and complete the upgrade. Refer to our Pricing page for the most up-to-date information on Otter plan pricing, features, and usage limits.

Apple App Store

Open the Otter mobile app.
Tap Account → Upgrade at the bottom of the screen.
Select your billing cycle. Choose whether you want to be billed annually or monthly for your Otter plan. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade through the Apple App Store.

Upgrading to Business through the Apple App Store

The Business plan is available only on the Apple App Store if you have previously purchased a paid subscription through Apple. If you have not purchased Business through Apple before, upgrade directly through Otter instead for new users, as the Business plan may not show as an option.

Open Subscriptions in your Apple account settings and select Otter.

Tap Reactivate to restart a previous subscription, or tap See All Plans to view available Pro and Business plans.
Select the Business plan and your preferred billing option, if available. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your subscription and complete the upgrade.

Google Play Store

Follow the instructions in the Otter mobile app to upgrade or purchase an Otter subscription. More detailed steps coming soon. Refer to Apple's steps for similar instructions.
