Cancel your Otter Pro subscription at any time from your workspace billing settings. When you cancel, your paid subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After the subscription expires, your workspace will automatically move to the Otter Basic plan and retain access to your Otter account and conversations.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel them.
- If you cancel, you can keep using the paid features until the subscription expires at the end of the current billing period.
- Cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the next billing date to avoid an unwanted charge.
- Subscriptions are non-refundable as explained in the Otter Terms of Service.
Steps to cancel your Otter Pro subscription
Subscriptions purchased through Otter.ai must be managed on a web browser. For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, please manage your subscription directly on their platform for any requests regarding billing, refunds, or cancellations, and refer to their respective refund policies. Select the option below that best matches your original subscription purchase method.
Subscriptions purchased through Otter.ai (web)
- Sign in to Otter.ai as an admin.

Go to Integrations (Account Settings) → Billing, and click Cancel Plan.
Tip: Don't want to fully cancel your subscription, but need a break? Try using the Pause plan option instead. -
Select your main reason for cancellation from the options listed or provide more information, and click Continue.

Carefully review the information in the pop-up. The message may vary depending on the plan. Click Cancel subscription to confirm.
- The subscription has been canceled and will expire at the end of the billing period. You and any member in your workspace can continue to use the paid features until the end of the billing cycle.
Reactivate your plan
If you change your mind before the billing cycle ends, reactivate your plan at any time in Account Settings → Billing → Reactivate plan.
Cancel your Otter subscription on mobile
For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, please manage your subscription directly on their platform for any requests regarding billing, refunds, or cancellations, and refer to their respective refund policies.
- Tap Account and select Account Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Manage subscription.
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Click Continue.

Depending on where you purchased your subscription, you may need to manage and complete the cancellation through that platform. Only subscriptions purchased directly through Otter.ai can be canceled within the Otter app.

What happens if I cancel my Pro subscription before the billing period ends?
If you cancel your Otter Pro subscription, you can continue using paid features until the end of your current billing period. After the subscription expires, your account will automatically transition to the applicable Otter Basic plan.
