The conversation page serves as a digital hub for all of your collaborative needs. Review your transcript and audio, collaborate with your team members, and interact with your conversations through highlights, comments, and images.
With our Otter AI features, you have quick access to the Summary, Action Items, and Outline, which are all automatically generated. Dive deeper into your conversations by using Otter AI Chat to access insightful information, receive personalized assistance, and foster meaningful conversations effortlessly with your team.

Otter will automatically generate a short AI-generated summary for each conversation. The summary will be generated based on the content during the live meeting or recording. Once the conversation has finished processing, it will produce a summary you can review under the Summary tab.
Otter automatically generates action items to streamline post-meeting processes and enhance productivity. Leveraging AI, Otter can identify key priorities and next steps, and assign those action items automatically to team members based on the content of your conversation. Swiftly organize and assign tasks to keep your conversations flowing to promote collaboration and project execution.
Once a conversation has finished processing, you can find the AI-generated action items on the Summary tab.
View in transcript
Action items generated by Otter will have a View in transcript () icon, indicating where this action item was generated. Click on the View in transcript () icon to view the content associated with the action item.
Manually add action items
Click on the Add action item field. Add your action item and click Enter/Return or the blue check () on the right side to save your action item.
Rename an action item
You can rename an action item anytime. Click on the action item field to edit, delete, or add words. Click Enter/Return or the blue check () on the right side to save your edit.
Otter will automatically assign AI-generated action items to the relevant person post-meeting. Hover over the profile picture to see who has been assigned.
Manually assign action items
Some automatically generated action items may not be assigned to any person. Click on Assign () to assign an action item to a person.
Delete an action item
You can delete an action item anytime. Hover over an action item and click the trash can () icon on the right to permanently delete it.
Otter's proprietary AI will automatically generate a live summary during a recording and display it in the Outline section of the conversation so you and your colleagues can quickly scan over the main topics. Learn more about your AI-generated Outline.

Keywords & Speakers
Quickly glance over the keywords spoken in the conversation. Easily see who spoke during the conversation and how long they spoke for. A percentage breakdown will be shown for each speaker, comprising both tagged and non-tagged speakers.
Review and edit your full transcript. You can add reactions, images, highlights, and comments to enhance your transcript and promote collaboration with your team members.
Playback the conversation audio while following along in the transcript.
View your highlights
View all of your highlights in one central location. On the Transcript tab, toggle on Show only highlights to view all highlights. You can playback and review just the highlights of your transcript.
