The email address you use to create an Otter account is where we’ll send password reset emails and other important messages, so you’ll want to keep it up to date. Keep reading to learn how to change your email address at any time.
Note: If you created your Otter account using Apple's iOS hide my email feature, your Otter account will be linked to the randomly generated email (e.g. a1b2c3@privaterelay.appleid.com, abc-def@icloud.com). Learn how to change your Otter sign-in from Apple to your personal email address.
Update your Otter account's email address.
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Click on your profile in the upper left corner. Click Account Settings.
- On the General tab, click Edit in the profile section.
- In the profile pop-up, click on the Email field.
- Type in your new email. Click the blue checkmark when you're finished.
- In the pop-up, type in your password and click Validate to proceed.
- A verification email will be sent to the new email. Click Okay.
- In the email, click Confirm email address or paste the link into a web browser.
- The confirmation link will take you to a verification success page and redirect you to your account.
- You can verify your email change in Account Settings > General.
Tip: If you encounter any issues after confirming the email, we recommend signing out of Otter and signing back in using the new email. You can also complete a password reset if needed.
Missing confirmation email
If you didn’t receive the confirmation email, try the following:
- Check your spam or junk folder, and any filters in your inbox.
- Open your email settings and check for typos in the email address. If the address is incorrect, you can change it by following the steps above.
