Manage the payment information that you use for your Otter subscription. The primary card on file will be used for all purchases, including renewals and adding additional licenses.
Note: If you are part of a Workspace, only an Admin can access and manage the payment methods. Contact your Otter Admin to manage billing information.
Manage your payment information
Add a payment method
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Click on your profile in the upper corner and select Account settings. Navigate to the Plan tab.
- Next to the Payment Method, click Add New Payment.
- Enter the credit card information and click Add new payment to save.
Note: Optionally, uncheck Make primary payment if you do not want this card to be charged as the default payment. - The card is added to your account.
Note: If your credit card payment was declined, Otter may retry the charge several attempts, before the subscription cancels. Please update your credit card before your next renewal or subscription change. We will automatically retry using the updated credit card information.
Update a payment method
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Click on your profile in the upper corner and select Account settings. Navigate to the Plan tab.
- Under Payment Method, click Edit next to the existing card.
- In the pop-up, enter your new card information. Click Edit payment method to save the changes.
Note: ‘Make primary payment’ will be checked by default. If you only have one card on file, updating your card will always be set to primary regardless if you check or uncheck the option.
- The payment method is updated.

Delete a payment method
Note: You must keep a minimum of one card on file. You will not be able to delete a card unless you have an alternative card on file.
- Sign in to Otter.ai.
- Click on your profile in the upper corner and select Account settings. Navigate to the Plan tab.
- Under the Payment Method section, click Delete next to the card you want to delete.
Note: To delete a primary card, you must make another card the primary first. Click Make primary on another card to make that default.
- Click Delete to confirm.
- The card is deleted.
Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
If you used your phone to purchase an Otter subscription, you must manage your payment method through Apple iTunes or Google Play.
